Wong Sheung Leung Blindfolded Chi Sao

Check out these video of Wong Shun Leung, a student of Grandmater Yip Man, training/showing lap sao and chi sao. Wong reportedly won at least 60, and perhaps over 100, street fights against martial artists of various styles in Hong Kong. Due to his reputation, he came to be known as ‘Gong Sau Wong’ (講手王 or ‘King of Talking Hands’). The first video of  Sifu Wong Shun Leung, demonstrates some of the finer points of lap sao, a tricky switch, and a couple other advanced applications. Its some old footage, but it captures with great clarity the skill of Sifu Wong Shun Leung. The second clip is actually footage from The Science of Infighting, and shows how fluidly and effortlessly Sifu Wong Shun Leung can blend chi sao and lap sao together  using his horse to drive in his opponent, catch his opponent off balance, and strike his opponent. Footage like this speaks volumes. Enjoy!
